1. You’re in the far left lane (fast lane) on 280 going 70 miles per hour when Chelsea comes up behing you. It’s obvious to you that she would like to go a bit faster than you are going. What do you do?
a) stay where you are, you’re going fast enough and Chelsea needs to just deal with it and/or pass you on the right.
b) move over, the fast lane is for whoever wants to go fastest on the freeway. Chelsea should not have to pass you on the right!
2. You’re driving on a small two lane highway going slightly downhill and you start to run out of gas. Before you can make it to the turn out your car dies in the lane, blocking traffic (including Chelsea who would like to get to school on time). You can see the safe turn out about 40 feet ahead of your car. Keep in mind you’re on a slight down slope. What do you do?
a) Keep your car where it is until AAA gets there. The tow truck guy said he’d be out to help you within 35 minutes. Plus, you have your iphone, angry birds, and a latte so you’ll be fine.
b) put your car in neutral and roll it to the fucking turn out you fucking idiot!
ANSWERS-
1) b. I don’t care if someone wants to go 400 million miles per hour, if it’s in the fast lane, move the fuck over you fucking jerk in a Mustang (nothing against these cars). Note: I’m not saying going slow in the fast lane is bad. BUT if someone comes up behind you just move over and then move back into the lane you feel most comfortable in!
2) b again! In my opinion, the only time this might not be safe is if your power steering and power breaks are out. To the best of my knowledge (and in every car I’ve owned) this does not happen when your car runs out of gas. This only happens if your whole car dies and nothing inside will turn on. Like you turn the key and NOTHING happens. I’ve broken down before and lost control of my steering and breaking. ALTHOUGH the emergency break WILL still work no matter what (unless it’s broken) so keep that in mind. Honestly, either way you should try to move your car. Even if you’re not on a hill. Push the fucking car. Maybe it’s because I grew up in a family full of old cars and a mechanic dad but I definitely know how to push a car. Anyway, lesson is, get your car out of the road. Small cars are easy to push. Put the car in neutral, open your door, step out and push the car by pushing on the door frame. OR take the help that is being offered to you by people that are eager to get to school/work!
