school update
First of all, I have chapters and chapter and chapter of reading I should be doing right now but for some reason I’m blogging instead. Not good.
But besides that, school is pretty good. Today I got a quiz back that I did last week in my global sociology class. While taking the quiz I would read each question and just seriously freak out (in my head) because I didn’t feel like I had any clue to what the answer was. But today I got it back and it turns out I got 100% correct! AWESOME!
A few days ago, while in class, the group of us got into a discussion about guys hollering at and/or complimenting girls while either walking down the street or at a club. One girl said something like “well I find it pretty close to harassment and plain stupid! I don’t think of “hey, you’re really cute” as an actual compliment from a guy. Why would I want a compliment on how I look? I’d much rather them tell me that I am smart!”
Ok, YES, it’s nice to be told that you are smart and shit but when you’re walking down the street or in a bar dancing you can’t expect random dudes to comment on how smart and intellectually stimulating you are.
I don’t understand what’s wrong with a guy telling a girl that she’s cute.
